This tree has a special place in the heart of well-known artist Jose "Pitok" Blanco. As stated on the landmark plaque on site, this tree has played a very important role to fishermen on the lake were it was used as a navigational guide.
As you would notice from the photos, the tree is still in its original ground level. The land around it was leveled much much lower so as to make the area less steep.
View from the tree is spectacular. One can see the Laguna de Bay and as far as Metro Manila Skyline.
